Apply to graduate by February 27, 2026, for the Spring 2026 semester to ensure your name is included in the commencement program.

Important note: if you have a FERPA restriction on your student account, your name will not appear in the commencement program. Restrictions must be removed by Feb. 27 for your name to be listed and can be checked in SIS in the “My Profile” tile.

Register to participate in a Spring 2026 Commencement Ceremony. Please register by April 17, 2026, at 12 p.m. EST to participate. 

All candidates* must register to participate in commencement ceremonies.
*Except Human Medicine (MD), Osteopathic Medicine (DO), and Veterinary Medicine (DVM)

Graduates are listed in the program of the semester in which they receive their diploma, regardless of when they participate in a ceremony. 

There are no printed commencement programs at Michigan State University. A PDF will be available on the commencement website starting the week of the commencement ceremonies. QR codes will be available for viewing on-site at the ceremonies.
